Ash is available in several species: black, brown and white. Two chief advantages are its strength and flexibility.
- Color – Nearly pure lustrous white, ranging through cream to very light brown.
- Grain – Straight, moderately open, pronounced grain.
- Characteristics – Heavy, hard, strong and stiff with excellent flexibility.
- Finishing– Seldom painted but takes all other finishes very well.
